Patience

I have come to embrace the concept that patients is undeniably a virtue, I have allowed myself to stop stressing about the progress of Architect, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK , and decided that all good things, do come to those that Waite!

I would just like to take this opportunity to ask any readers opinion about a new book cover for Architect. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

A talented book design has given me an option, to potentially have a new book cover used for the re-release of Architect, http://bennitheblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/architectcover-web.jpg

Tell me what you think, also here is a link to the designers site, check it out, http://bennitheblog.com/

I have to say waiting around for my book to be copy-edited is one of the most frustrating things I have every had to endure. For the first time I cannot motivate my self to put pen to digital paper and write. Something I love to do! Its about closer, I find myself unable to move forward with anything, writing wise, until Architect becomes the story, I always envisaged it to be! I can not Wait for the Weight to be lifted!

ArchitectArchitect by Steven Stennett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Taken from a review on Amazon Kindle uk

A highly individual first science fiction novel 31 Mar 2012
By Samd
Format:Kindle Edition

In 'Architect' Steve Stennett takes the reader into a technologically advanced dystopian universe where man and technology are no longer clearly delineated. A trans-galactic chase is underway and the reader is lead on a disorientating journey.

Most impressive is the author's description of the technology of this bleak future universe. Sometimes, no detail is too much, creating a heady sense of being overwhelmed by jargon. As a layman, I found myself, at times, confused by the accounts of interactions of software, programmes and hardware, adorning humans, androids, planets and spacecraft.

Yet, though alienating, I found the information overload to be a strangely effective way of writing about a futuristic universe. I got the sense it wasn't just me that was disorientated, so was the humanity of the story, having been hi-jacked by technological advances and society desolated as a result.

The idea of two beings assaulting each other with computer viruses, for example, is an example of the writer forcing us to consider where technology is taking the race.

The brilliant and imaginative technical writing, does, however, have two drawbacks. One, is that the plot turns can be difficult to follow for the layman, if not translated into simple language. Second is the drawback of creating an imbalance between character and technical description. Unfortunately, this imbalance, for me, left the emotional aspect of the story somewhat light

'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.'

The process of being what I would call an author, I have come to realize, if you are going to take it seriously, is heart wrenching and very difficult!

A simple statement, but one that resonates, deeply with me!

I have looked for  help, via the medium of  copy editing, it being my cry into the wildness of potential salvation, and pinned much of my hope upon this avenue!

'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.'

This I beseech which ever dainty, willing to listen, is something  I have not done!

Architect coming very soon, a re-mastered, and copy-edited foray into the literal  world.

Architect is on its way!!!

I feel like an expectant parent waiting for the birth of their first child!

I understand why a copy editing takes time, this has not stopped me from being impatient, and nervous about having to sit on my hands, to stop me biting my nails, so thing I don't normally do, from the stress of having to  bide my time!

What if, after this process is completed, there ends up being nothing of merit to read!

OMG, my daughters favorite text short hand, they send me at every conceivable moment, to punctuated, their heavily coded messages to me.

It can take me on average, at least 3 minutes of excruciating frustration, to decipher as little as two lines of their messages, littered as it is with text speak, which I just do not feel the need to learn!

Time is passing every so slowly for me during Architect being copy edited.

Doubt

I have to say that sometimes its hard not to have self doubt in the writing game. A great story does not always translate seamlessly into a great book.

But what I am discovering, is that a high level of determination, and the ability to learn from your mistakes, does go a long way towards banish uncertainty!

Here is to Architect http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

which is well on its way towards its re-launch!!!

Re launch of Architect On Amazon Kindle

My last set of blogs have concerned the fact that I will be re-launching Architect

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

To this end I have employed the services of a copy editor who is working their way through Architect to ultimately produce the book that it should always have been.

As well the copy editing I have been approached by a talented book cover designer, who has produce and new re-imaged cover for Architect.

Any self publishers out there, should serious consider professional help when it comes to their cover art, as it can be one of the most singularly important aspect of getting your work seen.

Anyway check out her site, the link is below. I dear you not to be impressed.
