What are you currently working on? The second to last question asked by Goodreads. The copy editing of Architect.

Its turned into a thing for me!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Book-1-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

I believe that I have a story, and a set of characters that will allow me to world build, and produce a narrative that will entertain my readers.

What I have lacked so far, is the copy editing element, something I just didn't appreciate, or honestly understand.

There is a balance that should be struck, between my vision and the appropriate presentation of the document, that needs to be read effortlessly by those willing to purchase a 0.77 pence document.

That's about a buck, a dollar, as my American cousins would say..

Architect has become the beginning, and potentially the end to my writing career.

I am hopping, so much hopping, it will be the start of something.

All hail to copy editor!!!!!!!

Shovel ReadyShovel Ready by Adam Sternbergh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The hero was flawed, the heroin also. The good guys were bad, the bad guys even worst.

I rooted for the lesser of the two evils, and eventually I grew at peace with my choice.

Three stars only because, for me there just wasn't enough science fiction.

Copy Editing, a very long journey!

The copy editing, which honestly took way longer than I thought, is coming to an end.

No matter what happens, I have learned so much from the process.

Writing is a job, you have to produce a polished product and treat your readers with respect.

There are no half measures involved in the process, and to expect to be successful or appreciation in the realm of self-publishing is naive!

I am a better person, and I hope, so hope, a better writer for it.x

Goodreads asked. How do you get inspired to write?

The thought of the future inspires me, which is why I probably read so much science fiction, which has translated into me wanting to write about the future.

I am not saying that I think things will be better, I am sure there will still be wars and petty conflicts between nations and eventually planets.

What I believe is that the human species will have more opportunity to evolve as we spread out away from out home planet, as we create A.Is, humanoid Robots, science that will allow for the betterment of the species.

At the moment we seem content to retrace old ground. Greed, money, power, my hope is that the future will produce wonderful, and new opportunities for change.

This is what inspires me!!

The clock is still ticking, but I am patient. Let what needs to be done unfold at its own pace!

Architect http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Book-1-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

Coming very soon, the book that it should have been to begin with!

Another question asked by the folks at Goodreads. What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Being able to allow the images in my mind, to be transferred into the written word, so that I can share the stories that I am for ever making up in my head.

The stories that I write always begin life as movies that play within my minds eye!

This was how Architect was born. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Book-1-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK

More questions asked from the team at Goodreads. What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

WRITE, just write!

Sure plan it, have a beginning a middle and a end, but ultimately write it, the fine tuning can be done, once you have completed it.

There is nothing worse than an unfinished book, or one that never gets started!

Question asked by the team at Goodreads. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Three things kept going through my head, an Android, a cyborg solider and a love story!

These three ingredients I somehow needed make into a story!
I was compelled, nay driven to do so!

Architect became that story!

A couple a questions the people at Goodreads have asked me

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Never had it, the closest I have come to that situation, is right now where I have intentionally stopped writing, in lieu of Architect http://www.amazon.co.uk/Architect-Steven-Stennett-ebook/dp/B004JHYMJK being copy edited and re-released, which will be happening very soon.

I cannot move forward with anything, until mentally some form of closure has been obtained from Architect becoming the book I envisioned!

Alien: Out of the Shadows (Novel #1)Alien: Out of the Shadows by Tim Lebbon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book took me a while to get through. Not because it wasn't a good book, more because it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Ash the science officer from Alien, has a fundamental role in this book, and the characters addition, is superbly handled, giving the tying that had to be made to latter books, a level of integrated, that has to be applauded.

The book just wasn't what I wanted it to be, more a short coming in me, than that of the book.

I will always have love for the Alien, at the top of its game, the land base equivalent of the great white shark, whats not to love!
